An Ottawa branch of InCharge Canada is now housed within the same business offices as NROCRC in the Merivale Mall. InCharge Canada is a non-profit chartiable organization offering confidential and professional credit counselling, debt management and financial education.
At InCharge Canada counsellors work one-on-one with clients to help find a solution that meets individual needs.

A Community Kitchen is a group of people who come together to cook, eat, or bring food home to share with their families. Participants learn new recipes and are introduced to new foods that contribute to a balanced diet.

NROCRC's Community Kitchen program members, with the assistance of Community Developer Nouria Issa, developed and kitchen tested recipes for a bilingual English/Chinese recipe book. You can click here and see a small sample of recipes ranging from soups to desserts.
The NROCRC Community Kitchen Recipe Book sells for $10 and is available at the NROCRC office in the Merivale Mall. Get yours soon!

Description: Short-term counselling and crisis intervention services are offered free of charge to all residents of Nepean, Rideau and Osgoode. Clients' needs are assessed and brief counselling is offered or referrals are made to appropriate alternate resources. Our counsellors are GLBTTQ-friendly.

Description: The Elder Abuse Response and Referral Service (EARRS), in collaboration with the Eastern Ottawa Resource Centre, provides assessment, case management, referral and linkage services to seniors dealing with physical abuse, emotional abuse, financial abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect.
EARRS also provides information and referrals to friends, family members, service providers and anyone who is concerned about a senior.

This program is designed to reach out and assist newly-arrived immigrants and refugees to Canada. In our agency, we concentrate on Barrhaven in particular as this community has the highest newcomer population in our catchment. However, this program is open to all newcomers in Nepean, Rideau and Osgoode.

Early Prevention: We provide education for tenants, landlords, home-owners and service providers on all aspects affecting housing to support the right to safe, adequate and affordable housing, and to lower the risk of housing loss.

Description: Monthly food buying cooperative for quality fresh fruit and vegetables. Pick up at the Parkwood Presbyterian Church, 10 Chesterton Drive, every third Wednesday of the month.
The Good Food Box is an affordable way to get fresh fruits and vegetables directly from farmers. Boxes range from $10 – 20 depending on the size of box you or your clients wish to order. Each box contains the same mixture of food, though the contents vary with each delivery, depending on what is in season and reasonable at the time.

Description: Extended help is available for women in abusive situations through the Program Against Women's Abuse. You can have support moving from an abusive relationship to a safe environment, help filling out applications, someone accompany you to court or meet with a lawyer, and much more. Description: This program is for low-income families in Nepean, Rideau and Osgoode with children ages 0-14 years who are in need of snow suits. This programs runs all winter season. There is a $10.00 fee for each new snow suit provided and clients are responsible for pick up at 225 Donald Street.
